The never-ending task of the Moerman window cleaner
14th of May 2014Walking around the Amsterdam RAI for the four-day ISSA/Interclean show will no doubt have been a tough challenge for some.
But spare a thought for the professional window cleaner on the Moerman stand whose job it was to clean a large pane of glass - over and over again - for the entire exhibition.
The mystery man's task was to demonstrate the qualities of Moerman's latest squeegees, handles and T-bars said sales and marketing manager Sofie Landuyt.
"It really attracts people on to the stand," she said. "People like to see how our products work - and some of them even ask if they can have a go."
On show on the Moerman stand was the company's new swivel squeegee handle with a pivoting head. This allows the blade angle to be adjusted to work with irregular-shaped windows, says Landuyt, while the handle is said to lock securely on to the extension pole.
Also on display was the company's new hybrid heavy-duty squeegee - said to be both robust and user-friendly - and a swivel T-bar designed to lock into any position. Oh, and very clean windows.
