According to IntelligentM, its patent pending Smartband System can be used to tackle hand hygiene compliance in hospitals and other healthcare applications.
Smartbands are designed to be worn by all staff who have direct contact with patients, sanitiser and soap dispensers, and other equipment and products. It provides on-the-spot notification of non-compliant hand hygiene events for how and when workers perform handwashing and sanitising.
They vibrate once for compliant hand washing/sanitising and three times for a non-compliant event.
IntelligentM was developed in the USA and is now certified for sale in the EU, Australia and Far East.
