Many surfaces can be cleaned effectively using cold water at high pressures. But some tasks require a little extra help in the form of heat, detergent or some other agent – and manufacturers have plenty of resources up their sleeves for tackling these more challenging tasks, as Ann Laffeaty finds out.

IPC’s latest generation of high pressure cleaners is the PW-H35 which has been designed for use in heavy duty applications on any kind of soil. It is available in three and four wheel versions, both equipped with parking brake.
Pressures range from 130 to 190 bar, with flow rates from 560 to 900 litres per hour and maximum water temperature

Kärcher iSolar for solar panel cleaning

For thorough cleaning of solar panels Kärcher developed the iSolar, an accessory for high pressure cleaners. Featuring rotary brushes and a telescopic lance, it can clean up to 1,500 square metres of panel, depending on the model.

R+M/Suttner Easyfoam unit
