European Commission adopts new strategy for rights of people with disabilities
29th of March 2021The European Commission has adopted a new Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030, contributing to Principle 17 of the European Pillar of Social Rights - reports EFCI.
The new strategy builds on its predecessor, the European Disability Strategy 2010-2020, and sets out key initiatives to be implemented in the next 10 years
Lucart grows UK presence through Essential Supply acquisition
26th of March 2021Tissue producer Lucart, based in Italy, has acquired Essential Supply Products (ESP) in the UK as part of its strategy to grow its presence in the away-from-home market there.
The relationship between the two companies dates back over 10 years as some of the paper processed at the ESP site comes from the Lucart mills.

London's Cleaning Show moves to November
25th of March 2021The Cleaning Show, which is the UK's professional cleaning exhibition, will now take place from November 2-4 following recent government announcements about lockdown easing. It had been planned for early June.

Dussmann acquires Janus in Austria
24th of March 2021In Austria, multi-service provider Dussmann Group has ?acquired the Janus Group Vienna through its subsidiary Dussmann Service Austria. Janus specialises in the provision of of cleaning and disinfection services to healthcare facilities and employs 1,300 people.

More public toilets closed during latest UK lockdown
18th of March 2021Around 100 UK more toilets have been closed to the public during the current nationwide lockdown than in the last one.
This was revealed by Lockdown Loo, a website set up to track public washrooms and highlight those that have remained open during the COVID-19 pandemic.
