Safety focus for ISS campaign

ISS, the world's leading building services provider, is launching worldwide campaigns among its employees to promote health, safety and the environment.

There will be a number of initiatives throughout this year under the name You and Me. These will be promoted to the company's 520,000 employees in over 50 countries. The first is called Drive to 100 Safety Campaign and focuses on three areas - working at heights; slips, trips and falls; and driving safely.

A range of different activities are planned for employees in line with this campaign. At ISS in the Czech Republic for example they are invited to meetings with regional directors and service managers, where they can discuss safety related topics and be trained in various situations that could potentially be dangerous. Posters and other support material have been translated into many languages and are being displayed at ISS offices.

"People are at the very core of our business, so the health and safety of our employees are of utmost importance," said Joseph Nazareth, head of group HSE.
