ISS divests German damage control business

ISS, the industry's leading facilities services provider, has agreed with Polygon to complete the divestment of its German damage control business, Vatro.

With its headquarters in Olpe in the Düsseldorf region and 32 local branches around the country, Vatro was bought by ISS in 2001 and now employs 800 people. In 2010 it generated revenue of 146 million euros.

"The sale of Vatro is a strategic divestment for ISS," said regional ceo for ISS Central Europe Jacob Götzsche. "Damage control is a service with very limited operational and customer overlap with the core strategic services provided by ISS Germany."
