Diversey Care rewards Twitter-users with ice-cream

Social networking is taking centre stage on the Diversey Care stand at this year's show.

Visitors are being offered a free strawberry or chocolate chip ice-cream cone for posting on the company's Facebook or Twitter account.

And how did Diversey Care promote this offer? By Facebook and Twitter of course.

"Social networking is becoming more and more important," said global marketing director Irina Klemps. "We wanted to offer something to encourage our customers to interact with us via social media - and in our experience visitors to ISSA/Interclean appreciate something refreshing to eat during the show."

Anyone who has posted a comment - either positive or negative - about the company on its Twitter or Facebook is allowed to claim their free ice-cream cone from an old-fashioned trolley on the company's stand.

Diversey Care is introducing a range of products at the event. These included the Taski Quantum double-sided mop said to increase the square meterage of floor that can be cleaned with one mop head. Also being launched is the Suma Combi two-in-one detergent and rinse aid product for use in small warewashing machines.

But no written information was available about either of these launches. "You can find out more on Twitter and Facebook," was the rather predictable reply. And no, we didn't manage to earn ourselves a free ice-cream.
