Amsterdam Innovation Award winners to be announced next Tuesday
9th of May 2018One of the most anticipated events of the Interclean Amsterdam exhibition - the Amsterdam Innovation Awards - will take place on the opening day of the show, next Tuesday. There, the category winners for 2018 will be announced, along with the overall winner.
The jury of the 2018 Interclean Amsterdam Innovation Award has already announced its shortlist of nominees - choosing 12 entries from across four categories.
This year’s awards has seen the number of categories grow from three to four, adapting to the changing nature of innovation in the professional cleaning and hygiene industry. This means there are three shortlisted nominees in each category: Management & Mobility Solutions/E-Cleaning; Equipment; Machines; and Related Products/Services.
Visitors to the show are able to vote for the Visitor’s Choice prize via www.intercleanshow.com.
In the E-Cleaning category, shortlisted entries are Diversey for IntelliLinen, INPACS for its Orbita Dashboard and Vermop for SystemONE.
The Equipment & Tools category features Diversey for its MoonBeam3 UVC Disinfection System, SYR for the Powr-Mop Lite, and Unger HydroPower RO.
Shortlisted for the Machines category are Kärcher for its KIRA B 50, Adlatus Robotics with the Service Station for Cleaning Robots, and Wetrok for its Wetrok Automatic Marvin.
In the Related Products/Services category, the finalists are Dityspray for Dityspray, Tork for its Tork PaperCircle, and Werner & Mertz Professional for the green-Effective Performance Calculator.
“We must congratulate all our final nominees for this year’s award, and also everyone who submitted an entry,” said Michelle Marshall, chairman of the Amsterdam Innovation Award jury and editor of ECJ. “I know I speak on behalf of all the judges when I say we had many interesting products to read about!
“What was particularly interesting was the broad spread of different developments now being brought to all segments of the market,” continued Marshall. “Yes, there were a number of new ‘smart’ solutions using latest IoT technology; however, there were also notable new tools tackling the day-to-day needs of the cleaning operative at ground roots level.”
“Year after year, we can observe that cleaning solutions providers are becoming more focused on meeting the needs of the workforce and building users too,” she concluded. “This enhances the daily operation of the cleaning team, and consequently the ‘experience’ of the end customer within that particular site.”
The shortlisted products will be on display in the InnovationLAB at hall 8.
