Tennant scrubber wins GOOD DESIGN award

Floor care solutions company Tennant, based in the USA, has won a 2013 GOOD DESIGN Award for the industrial design of its T12 compact ride-on scrubber.

GOOD DESIGN is one of the oldest and most recognised awards for design excellence worldwide and is organised annually by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.

According to John Ickes, senior principal industrial designer for Tennant Company, the T12 design was the result of an effort to think outside of traditional cleaning machine design. He explained: "The T12 design emerged from a challenge put forth by our ceo, Chris Killingstad, to start with a clean sheet of paper and think beyond any boundaries."
