For more environmentally conscious disposal of washroom sanitary waste, SaniSAC has been developed by Golden Group International. This is a sealable, degradable plastic bag claimed to break down in landfill within 12 to 18 months.
Available as a 50-bag box, 125-bag roll and five-bag handy pack, SaniSAC bags are made from polyethylene and an additive which uses an ion prodegradant system that will cause a high level of controlled degradation in the finished product after a period of light exposure. Winter range
Continuing its line of seasonal fragrances, TimeMist has launched its Winter range. This, the company says, incorporates plum, sweet berries, wine, brandy, orange, clove, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla.
The fragrances are designed to be used with the company's own dispensing systems.

For runways
Nilfisk-Advance has launched the Cyclone 4006 Airport Maintenance machine worldwide. This is designed specifically for airport runway rubber and can also be used for paint line removal when paint lines needs to be removed or renovated, the company says.
The heart of Cyclone is the multi-patented cleaning head with built-in turbine fins. These turbine fins produce airflows in excess of 135 miles per hour. The combination of this air movement, mixed with the removed debris, has the effect of a category four cyclone storm moving across the surface, which cleans the surface without damage.
The machine is expected to have other applications in road maintenance and construction.

Cleaning fibre-deep
The new dual-motor upright carpet vacuums CV 38/2 and CV 48/2 from Kärcher have been designed to clean large areas, with the brush adjusting to suit pile height.
A 150 W motor powers the 380 mm or 480 mm wide brush which guarantees a fibre-deep cleaning action and freshens up the pile at the same time. An indicator lamp comes on when the distance between the brush and floor is not optimum.
The vacuums come standard with a tear-resistant fleece filter bag, which has twice the dust capacity of a conventional paper filter bag. The front of the housing opens easily for convenient, dustless removal while an optional HEPA motor exhaust filter is available.
For the handling of coarse dirt and liquids in more industrial applications the new Series NT 70 wet and dry vacuum cleaner comes with one, two or three motors and is available in 12 versions. Container capacity is 70 litres - when picking up liquids, a float switches off the fan and cuts off suction as soon as the container is full.
Standard accessories such as the crevice tool, two 0.5-metre suction tubes, the 360 mm wide floor tool and drain hose are accommodated ready for instant use on the back of the machine. A gangway tool with a working width of 611 mm is available as an option for cleaning very large areas quickly.

Aerial platform
The latest aerial access platform from Teupen is the LEO 13 GT, an entry level model suitable for all facility management applications and rental fleets.
Working height is up to 12.8 metres, with an outreach of 6.1 metres. The undercarriage and hydraulic cylinders are coated in a cathodic metallic paint, while the boom sections are anodised aluminium. The control panel can also be used as a remote control - for example for loading or shunting. Automatic outrigging is standard and the hexagonal basket enables two people to work.

Van vacuum
The Speedy-Net from Sibilia is a combination of the Iveco Daily van and one of the company's industrial vacuum cleaners. The power to run the Sibilia pump comes directly from the van's engine without the need for an auxiliary motor.
This, says the company, makes the van light, manoeuvrable and capable of removing solids and dust. Hopper capacity is 600 litres and a bag can be placed under it for easy discharge and handling of the collected material.

Invisible protection
AllClear is a nanotechnology stay-clean coating which is claimed to keep surfaces cleaner for longer as well as making cleaning easier and cheaper. It can be used on areas including washrooms, worktops, flooring, windows, doors and can be applied to any silica-based material such as glass, stone and ceramics as well as metals and plastics.
The repellent, hydrophobic properties of the treatment mean water or liquid coming into contact with the coated surface will simply bead off, taking dirt with it. It is also oil repellent - up to four times more oleophobic than untreated surfaces. To clean the surface all that is required is a clean cloth and fresh water - no chemicals. Hygiene can also be improved because environments where bacteria can grow are reduced by the treatment.

Better cycling power
Trojan Battery Company has introduced its new Cycling AGM line of sealed absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries, featuring improved cycling power in heavy duty and deep discharge applications.
They require no watering and are completely maintenance free, says Trojan. The sealed/non-spillable construction is UN2800 certified, allowing for transportation by air, sea or land.
Removable carrying handles make for easy lifting and installation, while the durable polypropylene case protects against damage in heavy service applications.

Range expands
Tennant's ec-H2O pure water cleaning technology is now available on another of its battery powered ride-on scrubber dryers - the 7100. ec-H2O converts plain tap water into a powerful cleaning agent without the need for chemicals.
The product line incorporating the technology has been expanded throughout the year to encompass the Tennant T7 micro-rider, T15 mid-sized scrubber dryer, 7300 mid-sized battery powered scrubber dryer and the 8300 battery powered scrubber-sweeper.
